Rare and very beautiful set consisting of a planter and its two cone vases in painted sheet metal decorated with mythological scenes and characters, with its original paintings. This set is in an exceptional state of preservation: indeed, the paintings have been varnished, allowing it to be in superb condition even today.
 On one of its main faces, the planter reveals Venus lying down, discovering some food brought back by her youngest son Anteros while they are both observed attentively by Eros (Cupid), who has remained in the background. On the opposite side, Apollo, god of the arts, is invited by two cherubim to express his talents as a painter. 
 Each side of the planter is painted with landscapes and embellished with a drop handle in the shape of a golden lion's head.
 
 On one of the vases, we find Hebe, goddess of eternal youth and vitality, daughter of Zeus and Hera (Jupiter and Juno). Here, as very often, she is represented holding a cup of divine food of immortality, which the eagle (symbolizing Zeus, her father) seeks to reach...
 The sides illustrate for one, the goddess Diana the huntress, and the other, the goddess Flora. The rear face reveals an animated landscape.
 
 On the other vase, the myth of Leda and the swan forms the counterpart to that of Hebe and the eagle. Right here,  Zeus (Jupiter) took on the appearance of a swan in order to seduce the beautiful Leda.
 The sides display for one, the god Hermes (Mercury), for the other, the goddess Hera. The rear face also reveals an animated landscape.
 
 Each piece has a removable interior in ocher patinated tinplate.
