Rare pair of gilded bronze fireplace lights in their beautiful original state, from the Empire era.
Superb gilded bronzes in applique: masks of divinities and two panthers drinking in a basin fountain.
Model with antique vase and top ball.
Claude Galle delivered fifteen pairs of these fires in 1806 to the palace of Fontainebleau.
The inventory of 1807 still counts five present in the palace:
-in the living room of Prince #1’s apartment in the Golden Door Pavilion
- Mother’s second living room and bedroom.
- Living room of the Princess of Guastalla’s apartment (no. 10 of the Princes' Court).
- The bedroom of the King of Holland.
