Large empire office armchair, 19th century mahogany and mahogany veneer. This model of office (or officer) armchair "with lion muffles" appeared under the Consulate, and was very successful during the 1st Empire . It was available with different front feet, adorned or not with small gilded bronzes. Model with gondola backrest in hemiclyca finished with very elegantly sculpted lion heads. Front feet ending in claws, also perfectly made.
 Beautiful green leather trim in very good condition.
