Very elegant and rare Commode with central projection in rosewood veneer. Stamped by Antoine KRIEGER (1804-1869).
 It opens as a belt with three drawers with alternating channel decorations and two drawers without crossbar with framing patterns of twisted ribbons Rounded uprights with simulated grooves terminated by tapered feet.
 Beautiful finely chiseled and gilded bronze ornamentation such as:
 -locks entries
 - leafy falls
 - rings and beaded shoes.
 Grooved white marble top.
 Krieger stamp in superb condition.
 Also signed on the lock "My KRIEGER / furniture / Paris". Company founded by Antoine Krieger, located at 74, in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine and taken over in 1860 by Antoine Krieger's son-in-law, Claude-Julien Cosse.
 
 KRIEGER Antoine. Settled in Paris with his brother Nicolas in 1826. He practiced until 1856 and left his business to his sons-in-law Cosse and Racault.
 Manufacturer of all kinds, he executed all plans and drawings in old and modern taste, from the Middle Ages to Art Nouveau. He presented his creations at all the Universal Exhibitions until that of Brussels in 1910. He obtained a medal at the Universal Exhibition in London in 1852. Branches were set up in London and Cairo. LECOULES, antique dealer specializing in furniture inspired by the 18th century and produced in the second half of the 19th century.
 
 Our chest of drawers also bears the stamp: "LECOULES / 52 rue Taitbout / 75009 Paris", who was an antique dealer and dealer in master furniture at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
 
 Very rare, especially in this very good state of conservation (no transformation!).
