Extremely rare poly-lobed porcelain bowl from the Manufacture de Sèvres, appraised: dating from 1782.

Magnificent polychrome decoration of bouquets of flowers, birds in gold rockery reserves standing out against a celestial blue background. Gold wolf teeth border. Exceptional details and relief of the gilding. Note, a very slight sheen on the heel.

Unique reissue of Louis XV's famous "celestial blue" service. First complete table service delivered by the Manufacture Royale de Sèvres, thirty years before, in 1753.

It consisted of 1,749 pieces, some of which presented new shapes created especially for the king by his goldsmith Jean-Claude Duplessis. This service used this new color created by Jean Hellot, director of the academy of sciences, attached to the royal factory.

Very rare.
